Task I Review the words and phrases.

1.To some, happiness is being surrounded by family and friends. To others, happiness

 means achieving success in something, such as meeting a goal. To those who have been

 injured or struggle with a physical disability, happiness can simply mean a day without

 suffering or just be alive.

2.You use the example of Sang Lan to show how people can find happiness even during 

times of a personal catastrophe.

——记临江高中高二英语组“特色课堂”推磨式听课及研讨活动

11月24日上午第二节课，临江高中高二英语组备课组长丁小亚老师在高二（5）班开设了一节英语课。高二英语备课组全体教师、英语学科分管行政王光军主任、高二英语包科行政王俊主任、高二（5）班班主任孙铭远老师及马家鸿校长参与了本次听课活动。

在接下来的备课组集体备课活动时，备课组趁热打铁，对本节课进行了点评、研讨。纵观整节课，与会者一致认为本节课所呈现的各个环节，如目标解读、导学案批改反馈、集体讨论、分组展示、点评、质疑、当堂巩固反馈练习等，操作流程规范，符合临江高中“特色课堂”要求。教学内容前后关联、层次分明，教学重点突出。教师主导有作用，驾驭课堂游刃有余，学生主体有需求，愿学、乐学、会学、乐观、自信、向上。具体表现在以下几个方面：

1.重视语境教学，体现学科特点。

英语是一门语言学科，语言学习需要有语言环境。从目标导入开始，我们看到丁老师就用全英文解读的方式引领学生自然“入境”，有意识的培养学生尽可能多地使用英语表达，这点非常难能可贵！课堂结束总结时，学科代表也以全英文的表述回应老师，博得了全班同学在本堂课上最为热烈的掌声。说明学生从内心接受这种交流表达的方式，对学科代表的表现认可并赞赏！

2.运用友善用脑创设学习情境。

当课堂进行到当堂巩固练习环节时，我们听到了教室里传出了舒缓的音乐声。教师用音乐创设学习情境，音乐刺激了听觉，调动听觉细胞参与学习，体现了友善用脑理念中所倡导的多感官教学。学生在练习时伴随着轻音乐，身心得到了放松，大脑得到了短暂的休息，学习效果显而易见。

3.点评、质疑最为出彩，学生表现大胆、自信。

经过讨论、展示，随即进入了点评、质疑环节。针对黑板上的展示，我们看到点评的同学能抠要点、找得分点，给出的得分实事求是。看上去就像一位小老师。他们点评的不仅全面、专业，更为可喜的是，他们声音洪亮，表达清楚，思路清晰，哪怕说错了也很大声，表现的非常大胆、自信。点评同时，还要接受其他各组的质疑或解答困惑之处。我们看到同学之间丝毫不留情面，质疑的问题针锋相对，入木三分。教师对于回答不了或不全面或有难度的问题，能适时进行点拨、引导；对于学生没有考虑到的问题也能对全体学生发出质疑，以引发他们思考。

4.学生专注度高，参与面广，思维活跃，学习氛围浓厚。

用聚精会神来形容这节课学生们的表现，显然不足以反映学生的学习状态了。课堂上，所有同学不仅听得认真、看得仔细，关键是他们的思维一直在转动，“七嘴八舌”的人很多，回答、质疑问题时争先恐后，经常出现一个问题同时有4-5个学生站起来抢着回答。师生间的问答，可以说一呼百应，学生相互之间的讨论、交流热烈而融洽。

望表知里，见微知著。虽然我们看到的是一节普通的组内展示课，但课堂教学实施的如此有效、高效，学生表现的如此大胆、自信，英语表达的如此清晰、流利，任课教师、班主任大量的精力投入和培训工作功不可没。这样的课堂组织，这样的课堂氛围，长此以往，学生想不进步都难！路漫漫兮其修远兮。追求学生学习的主动和课堂教学的高效是临江高中“特色课堂”追求的目标。相信临江高中理想的春天一定会到来，“特色课堂”本土化实践一定会成功。
