We can only take this one day at a time, but the day will come in which you will look back to now and be thankful for the lessons it has taught you. It will remind you that with a blink of an eye life can suddenly change and it’s out of our control. Therefore, we should make the best out of every day and use this time to build onto the foundations of our legacy.
After a year of lockdowns, uncertainty, and madness, I’m sharing eight healthy habits I have incorporated into my life that have really changed me and improved my mindset.
My mum. She would go to the ends of the Earth for me, and I would do the exact same for her. I have been taught some valuable life lessons from my mum because when you’re raised by a strong, loving, inspiring woman, there is no doubt that these things will, or already have happened to you.
I understand you feel as though the world has broken you and has left you shattered and destroyed. I understand you feel completely withdrawn from life. I understand you loathe yourself and the choices you’ve made. I understand you resent the fact you feel forced to live as a shell of who you should be. I understand why you pray to God wanting to know the answer for why you are still living despite your insides feel like they are decaying.
You’ve taught me that no matter what I, or others, go through, whether it’s a mental illness, being bullied at school, self harming, having a substance abuse issue or an eating disorder, not to be afraid to ask for help. You helped me save my own life, and I will always be extremely thankful.
